Hello, I'm Rhiannon Cook. I'm so glad you stopped by!
My passion for all things horsey began early. I grew up in the Black Forest/Monument area and began riding my Mom's Arabian horses in leadline classes. By middle school and high school, I participated in El Paso County 4H, showing my AQHA horses at both the local and state level and also competed on the Horse Judging Team. I've attended PPCC with a focus on Equine Management.
I have studied with many skilled horsemen and women including Katy Dunn, Dave Ellis (the Bakersfield Cowboy) and Pat Parelli. I've been especially influenced by Jack Brainard, a true living legend, breeder of my mare Cicily. I had the privilege to spend some time with Jack at the Parelli Center in Pagosa Springs, CO - an amazing event in my life.
I'm very interested in helping to develop beginning and intermediate level riders and love to work with both youth and adults. My APHA geldings Lynx, Patch and Lakota, "super queen" NSH mare Desi and darling POA pony Oreo are all eager and willing mounts for beginner through intermediate riders. Riding is for ALL ages!
And I'm especially excited about the recent formation of the Western Dressage Association and personally plan to compete in the future. I consider horsemanship and equitation to be a lifelong pursuit and look forward to sharing my passion with you!
Happy Trails! Rhiannon Cook
